The range is no longer the “backyard” for the Swedish golf club.
The latest report from GolfMore stated that Swedish ranges using the payment system have a combined revenue of 50.7M kr during 2022. This information is in line with trends in the golf industry. According to the Swedish Golf Federation, golf rounds are up in comparison to pre-covid numbers from 2019, and an article from the UK digital magazine, The Golf Business, has recently stated “members’ rounds are up a staggering 81 percent” when compared to 2019. With member rounds still very active, there is a natural spillover onto the range, and many clubs are putting their capital budget dollars toward improving the range experience.
S:t Arild Golfklubb, Sweden, has invested in a new Ball Mangament System from Range Servant.
Another trend that Range Servant is seeing is investing in tracking systems at the local club level. With top suppliers, such as TrackMan Range, Toptracer Range, and Inrange, one can see the value of the range as a viable business opportunity.
Range Operators are not only making the golf range more pleasing but are increasing the guest experience by knowing their key performance indicators. KPIs such as busiest days and times, what products are most popular, and understanding how people want to pay, all add to the overall experience. Range Servant has even started a Range Coach program to help GolfMore customers better understand their range and the KPIs that make the most difference.
With GolfMore technology and the Range Coach program, Range Servant is helping the golf range operator to make better business decisions, leading to a more profitable range.
